Fachada RIC Componentes 100% Brazilian Company

RIC began operations in São José dos Campos City, Sao Paulo State, Brazil, in October of 1993 with the goal of producing intake and exhaust valves for internal combustion engines, for the aftermarket.

Through the years, the company grew, expanding its activities, acquiring new equipment, and more importantly, developing its own production-process technology.

In June 2004, RIC was a pioneer in Brazil in producing aftermarket valves that with Heat Treatments using a Nitretration and an Oxidation process or Oxinitrocarbonetration

In October 2005 RIC received certification, ISO 9001:2000 standard.

In November 2005, RIC finished building its headquarters in São José dos Campos, in the state of São Paulo. Starting on that date, RIC began to execute planning. That phase continued throughout 2005 and 2006 with employes and training with a focus on the production process and the renovation of its industrial facilities. That included the purchase CNC machines, automation, design and development of tools, as well as electronic devices, and the preparation of facilities for the production of new products.

In 2008, RIC received certification from Volkswagen Brazil to supply it parts and accessories division. In 2008 and 2009, RIC continued to expand its manufacturing operations in the valve sector with the dynamic introduction of new products. In the first half of 2009, RIC completed planning for the acquisition of machines and equipment for the production of Cylinder Heads (machary, casting, machining, assembly and inspection tests).

In March of 2010, RIC announced the launch of Volkswagen 1600cc Air Cylinder Heads (modern) and the commercialization of bronze - and cast-iron guides.

In November 2011 RIC was awarded recertification, ISO 9001:2008 standard.

In 2012 RIC began studies for the launch of more one product: Cylinder Liners. Planning done and decided by the development of this new product, the company began work to expand its facilities.

Two years after many research and planning, the new industrial area with 1.000 square meters was opened and the process of cylinder liners manufacturing completed.

We should also highlight that RIC used its own resources in all of its investments. Our company is defined by three words that represent our team’s spirit: training, competence and commitment.
